On June 30th, we hosted a panel discussions on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) at our agency. This interactive format allowed us to share experiences and drive change, highlighting local actors already committed to CSR and providing actionable insights for those looking to join the movement. Here\u2019s a recap of our speakers’ adventures! <\/span><\/p>\n\n

For SEVABEL, it all boils down to one word: <\/span>DARE<\/span>.\nOser ouvrir la discussion, oser remettre en question ses pratiques, oser faire autrement.\nPour prot\u00e9ger un territoire vivant et unique.\nPour maintenir une vie harmonieuse entre les habitants et les touristes.\nPour continuer \u00e0 faire r\u00eaver aussi, sous un angle plus solidaire et transparent. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

For over 10 years, the \u2018Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019Exploitation De La Vall\u00e9e Des Belleville\u2019 has been engaged in a comprehensive approach. Initially driven by regulatory obligations, SEVABEL has since continued its transition out of conviction. Awareness is almost <\/span>inevitable at high altitudes,<\/span>and the work of education has made significant progress. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

One of the most emblematic actions: the establishment of a<\/span> Biodiversity Observatory in 2015.<\/span>.\nEntour\u00e9e de biologistes, la commune a pu proc\u00e9der au recensement d’esp\u00e8ces <\/span> Filled by biologists, the municipality has catalogued bird species (like the black grouse) and launched projects to protect them from the impacts of skiing, such as creating green islands and adjusting ski lift construction schedules to respect nesting periods. Worksite managers, educated on animal welfare, have become budding naturalists, changing perspectives. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Since then, it’s been a snowball effect. Implementation of more energy-efficient snow guns, obtaining Green Snowflake Certification<\/a><\/span>, creation of a Friendly Natural Park<\/a><\/span> to educate the youth about local wildlife protection… Just like St\u00e9phane, the resort is brimming with energy to meet this environmental and economic challenge. Next goal: joining the Paris Agreement. As a pioneering and visionary <\/span><\/span>station<\/span>, Les Menuires will continue to dare!<\/span><\/p>\n\n

At MOBILIS<\/span><\/a>, CSR is a team effort. The Haute-Savoie company, based in Chavanod, decided to address CSR primarily for its employees, recognising that a flexible and fulfilling work environment is now essential. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Internally, initiatives take place, co-construction is organised, and management sometimes takes a step back to allow for more meaningful<\/span> and<\/span> energetic projects.<\/span> Marc Fernandez\u2019s shared goal is to allow employees to take action, with a dedicated position created within the company. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Beyond enhancing employer branding, CSR now involves all of the company\u2019s actions. The Ecovadis assessment highlighted existing strengths (head office and multiple factories in France, subcontractor audits, gender equality) and provided a progress plan to structure the approach, taking a <\/span><\/span>pragmatic<\/span> stance.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Upcoming challenges include producing closer-to-consumption sites to reduce carbon footprint and creating a circular economy model for their products. Like the protective cases they manufacture, MOBILIS aims to maintain team-engagement <\/span> <\/span>over time<\/span> with an open, participatory CSR culture<\/span><\/p>\n\n

At UGITECH<\/span>, CSR has deep roots.<\/span>.\nQuand il fonde l\u2019entreprise en 1908, Paul Girod a besoin d\u2019une forte main-d’\u0153uvre et souhaite donc \u00e9tablir une communaut\u00e9 de travail solidaire, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de la ville.\n\u00c0 proximit\u00e9 imm\u00e9diate de ses forges, il construit de nombreuses habitations et toute une s\u00e9rie d\u2019\u00e9quipements collectifs : \u00e9cole, restaurant, laverie, salle des f\u00eates\u2026 En veillant (d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque !) \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger la rivi\u00e8re de l\u2019Arly.\nC\u2019est donc sur ce <\/span> When Paul Girod founded the company in 1908, he needed a strong workforce and wanted to build a supportive community.<\/span> Near his forges, he constructed numerous houses and a series of communal facilities: a school, restaurant, laundry, event hall, and even took measures to protect the Arly River. This paternalistic foundation built the CSR pillars of UGITECH.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

114 years later, the stakes have evolved. The company is a global market leader with over 3,000 clients and 2,000 employees worldwide (1,200 in the original town). Yet, the drive<\/span> <\/span>to innovate and positively contribute<\/span> to the region remains.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique presented two ambitious, current projects : UGI\u2019RING and CHALEUR FATALE.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
